Jack Pfeiffer, Executive Director
Jack Pfeiffer has nearly two decades of leadership experience in the business, nonprofit, government and political arenas. His experience includes work advising leaders and businesses including Washington, D.C. Mayors Muriel Bowser and Adrian Fenty, U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, Mike Bloomberg’s 2020 Presidential Campaign, FedEx Corporation, and many others.
In a world in which public policy is shaped increasingly by public opinion, Jack brings his local, state and federal political experience to work crafting public policy, communications, and advocacy strategies that advance legislative causes and that make the world a better place.
Jack found a passion for helping patients in need of affordable medication while working with U.S. Senator Kay Hagan on the Affordable Care Act, TREAT Act and the Prescription Drug User Fee Act. The Affordable Care Act reduced the number of uninsured Americans by nearly 20 million and protected the nearly 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions. The work Jack did with Senator Hagan helped speed drug review and approval processes for medications aiding people with rare and life threatening diseases.
A native or Washington, DC, Jack earned his bachelors degree in government from Georgetown University. He resides in the District of Columbia with his wife and two children.
Dan Wise, Member – Board of Directors
Dan Wise, a former insurance executive from New Jersey, joined the CPPI Board in 2015.
He began his career in 1978, quickly transitioning from underwriting to an independent agent. Over the next 27 years, he worked in a variety of roles eventually rising up the ranks to become part owner of an agency with several locations and over 100 employees. He also served as President of the local chapter of The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big “I”). He retired in 2010, but his colleagues and clients often call on him for his insight and advice.
Dan enjoys working and interacting with individuals from different professional backgrounds, which his work enabled him to do given the variety of clients and issues he dealt with over his career.
He and his wife enjoy travel and “history buffs” – hobbies they are now able to engage in more fully since they retired.
Eileen Winkelman, Member – Board of Directors
Eileen Winkelman brings to the board several years in the U.S. Congress, working on the staff of former U.S. Senator Pete Domenici (R-NM) as well as time in The White House Counsel’s office during the Reagan Administration.
For over 14 years, Eileen was the Director, Federal Government Relations for the American Chemistry Council (ACC), one of the largest trade associations in Washington, DC. Eileen led internal and external teams to advocate chemical and broad manufacturing interests in areas such as regulatory reform, environment, and homeland security at the federal level. Eileen also has represented cities and non-profit organizations before the federal government.
After a few years living abroad, Eileen moved back to the U.S., where she currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband, Tim.
